Rolex is absolute mass-produced goods. There is a reason why they don’t have a display back. Actually a robust tool watch. I also like some vintage models. The wearer has to like it and it has to be coherent. With the hype, I can think of some watches I would buy. But I don’t need any and prefer to invest in the new home. I still have an old Casio somewhere as well. It’s cult. Nevertheless, I prefer mechanical watches.

The only thing that comes to mind is the topic of the Rolex crisis 2019 in Munich...

Great-grandfather *smile* A cute comment on that, which I found in the "Zeit": The Mayor of Munich Dieter Reiter (SPD) also received initial death threats after he wrote in a Marie Antoinette manner: "If they don’t get a Rolex, then they should just buy a Breitling."

Would you like to tell a little about your network? I am particularly interested in the setup from patch panel to switch to router.

Have you actually considered using InWall Access Points instead of the NanoHD on the ceiling? UniFi also offers interesting options there. I am currently wondering whether that might be an alternative since you can possibly cleverly hide these things. Somehow, I don't like the idea of cluttering the ceiling too much. We want it to be as "tidy" as possible. There will be enough going on at the ceiling anyway...

How many APs do you have for your house, or APs per square meter?

there was already something about the network a few pages earlier. It is no longer a "home setup." Patch panel -> switch 1 Gbit -> 10 Gbit switch connection 20 Gbit -> router 10 Gbit. It is also a 10 Gbit router.

APs belong on the ceiling. Hiding reduces performance. APs per m2 won’t get you anywhere either because local conditions must be taken into account. We have reinforced concrete walls. You shouldn't imagine having reception in the next room. Maybe very weak 2.4 GHz. Since I am tech-savvy, we have more than absolutely necessary. I want good 5 GHz reception in the heavily used areas. In the garage, I have only one access point for about 170 m2. In the "private room area," there are 3 on a similar area. Outside, there are 4 on a total of 2,500 m2.... In total, I have 15 APs.

On the ceiling, you already have some things (smoke detectors, sensors, lamps, controlled residential ventilation...). With a suspended drywall ceiling, for example, you can hide them above an access panel. This only slightly restricts reception. You can also try design films.
