Well ... the sauna from @ :)

Or do you have one by now as well? My last update is that there is no sauna :)

Thanks, it looks great.
We also want an underfloor roller shutter for aesthetic reasons and precisely because of lack of space, we don’t want to put a glass house on it – your experience with the slats and so on sounds pretty good, I had some concerns there.
Since I don’t want to spend all the luxury at once, I intend to retrofit the underfloor solution later, so we have to prepare everything for it.
May I ask what size your pool is and what price your cover had? I would like to manage with about 10k for the cover – your solution will surely exceed that budget ;-)
Currently, we are facing the question of what pool size we can build. On the internet, I mostly find standard sizes up to a maximum of 5..6 meters in width. However, we still have plenty of space in width, which we would otherwise have to use rather marginally...

No, still no sauna ;)

Our birdhouse is now regularly visited by the blue tits :)

The hedge and lawn have suffered a lot. I will definitely get the lawn under control.

With the hedge, we'll see if I can manage the yews with love, fertilizer, and water. I think 1-2 plants won't make it. We'll see.
The tree is slowly budding. (Today in bad weather :p)

A few herbs have also taken up residence

Last night I set up the cage in the fitness area. It's slowly coming together. A few things are still missing or have to be delivered again because they were defective.

Before the question comes how big the TV is... 86" o_O

Isn't Sauerland a bit far away - where in Hesse is the construction supposed to take place?

If you have the width, just rotate the pool....
Our pool is 20 meters long + roller bag and 4 meters wide. So no longer standard.
The bigger your pool is, the more expensive construction, technology, and maintenance become.
From 12-15 meters onwards, you no longer need a counter-current system.
Don’t skimp on the technology. Dimension the sand filter big enough, automatic regulation for redox and pH, adjustable pump, and ideally automatic backwash... That makes things a lot easier, and you have more time to enjoy the pool.
How do you want to heat it? Connect it to the house heating system? Then you need proper power.
Anything over 8 meters in length is already no longer standard.

I negotiated a fixed price for my pool. And paid 80% two years in advance. The pool builders wanted the project too. Correspondingly, the price was good. Our cover without motor, etc., would cost about 30-40k today.

Most standard covers stop at 5 meters in width. The meter of cover costs depending on the design between €300-800 per meter (length). Plus drive and accessories. Depending on pool size, it could work out (and you don’t reach for the top shelf).

A serious question: Do you actually have a cleaning service or gardener? At that size, it’s no longer easy to handle on your own... Your terrace with pool is simply amazing. I don’t need a gym, but respect here too. That really deserves the name. ;)
