Even though I will surely never meet , I imagine that he naturally and willingly presents his project in this scope. Of course, there is probably also a large amount of pride behind what has been accomplished and risked. Surely, this also relieves the builder of some burdens, and then one gladly shows the beautiful result. I find nothing objectionable in someone happily showing something, because the crucial difference is whether someone shows me something with the intention of elevating themselves above me or others, or whether they do it because they enjoy it and are simply extremely proud of themselves and the project. On the contrary, it would almost be inhuman not to have such a feeling of wanting to show something beautiful. Every child proudly shows their tiny Lego tower, each of us willingly shows something every day (please no digressions...), and I find that rather sympathetic. The neighbor shows me his pond, another his model railway, the next his heating system, I my experiences in the world or my first apple pie (see "Adam’s Apples"). At no time did I have the impression here that anyone wanted to elevate themselves above me or others by showing something, but always that someone is truly proud of something, and I think that’s great! Of course, one is also happy about applause—who isn't? Stand up immediately if not! The pianist gladly shows their skills in public just like a painter; it’s a pity if successful architecture would increasingly hide behind high walls. I have no idea how, in this now long thread, one could even suspect such negative intention instead of simply enjoying the beauty AND rejoicing WITH the builder, even if one cannot own it oneself. Someone who always makes life beautiful for themselves within their means does not have these flashes of negative thoughts! Yes, there are, certainly, show-offs and big shots; they exist on all social levels. But you recognize them quite quickly by overly large building complexes without a consistent style and plain, flashy, crude size. When I happen to pass by on my mail carrier route, I gladly drop mail into this mailbox without the claim to jump into the pool.

I could imagine that even for some details like the "road surface" as living space flooring were a first.

Thank you – finally it becomes clear to me why I like sitting so much :)

But there must be houses where you prefer to put in white letters and others where you prefer yellow ones ;-)

Of course, I also congratulate the homeowner on the completion and moving into his house. Just as every musician or painter shows their works and receives a lot of encouragement, there are also the miserable critics who do not like certain things. This is how freedom of opinion should remain.

Hey no, I haven’t gone into detail yet. I definitely need to do that, even though it doesn’t at all correspond to what usually happens here. The section is part of the window reveal of our front. The upper part (with the shells in the corner, keyword Jacobsweg) could be preserved, unfortunately large parts had to be renewed.

Design is not a democratic process :p Unfortunately, the floor still reminds me of blood sausage and not everything is to my taste. But in most areas, it just turned out awesome. Thanks for sharing and all the best for your move-in :)
