For a flat surface, I would rather sow. I had planned to do so as well. Because of the slope, we switched to turf. However, the turf was already overseeded,) so it is no longer original. Important is regular cutting (preferably daily), water, and fertilizer. We ordered our lawn from Rasenprofi. Which grass type is suitable for you depends on various factors such as location, soil, irrigation, labor, desired mowing height, stress, etc.

Rick, I have been following the thread continuously, but maybe I missed it: have you ever talked about garden lighting?

Do you, for example, illuminate your prominent tree or highlight other things in the garden with light? How about the house/the architecture, is there any exterior accent lighting?

If yes, what kind of lights/system do you use? Inside you have Bega. They also have a lot for gardens and parks...

Thanks!

of course we also have outdoor lighting.
Under the terraces, balcony and entrance area also Bega (same recessed lights as inside). Tree also has Bega. Paths, wall in the courtyard and exit on the upper floor are Helestra Oki.
Here only the tree was on. The bollard lights are also visible but switched off.

Additionally we also use battery lights from Fermob in different sizes and colors to place and/or on the stand.
The pool is also illuminated (various colors possible). Only LEDs are used everywhere.

Wow, looks great. Do you have in mind which Bega will illuminate the tree?

I am currently looking at Bega -> outdoor lights -> garden lights for private use.

The system also seems quite clever to me, you need a power outlet and then the Bega with 48 volts is distributed via distributors, extensions, etc. and is basically just plug-and-play...

Please don't get me wrong, I like that kind of thing, but isn't light pollution an issue? Even the streetlights here have been replaced.

We are using the 230V system. They are not tree lights but impact-resistant floor lights. I mean 84091K3. A total of 4 pieces. One light on each side. But the system you mentioned is great.
