No, but that's a good point, as I was not aware of that. Currently, everything is still provisional, and for the final version, I can take that into account if it is really necessary.

Currently, there are only three APs that are really suitable for outdoor use.
The AC Mesh, the AC Mesh Pro, and the Flex HD.

The Access Point Pro is only conditionally suitable (covered areas only).

The AC Mesh is quite slow but sufficient for the garden. Affordable but not really visually appealing. The problem is that the antennas shift when birds perch on them. Some also print supports on a 3D printer...
With the antennas, the radiation pattern can be well influenced. If you don't have long distances to cover, it's not a bad choice.

The AC Mesh Pro is faster but a huge device. Just note the dimensions. On a smaller building structure, it can quickly look out of place.
The Mesh Pro concentrates the WiFi frontally. The performance drops quickly to the sides.

The Flex HD has the same speed as a Nano HD. It is smaller than a slim beverage can and the most modern of the three.
I currently have one running standalone at the construction site. Since I discovered a dead spot behind the house, it will be placed on the facade there later. I still had a free cable there.

Otherwise, the Mesh Pros are used. If the Flex HD had already been available during procurement, I would have gone with Flex HDs everywhere. These are less conspicuous, more powerful, and receive longer support.

Surge protection is not required. Construction in the USA is different from ours. Often, there are no lightning rods, etc.

The FlexHD are a blast. We also use them in the roof eaves, and they only stick out 5cm there. It hardly gets any better.

The mount is not available yet, is it? But the Flex is already great. I could also imagine using it inside with the special ceiling mount. The smaller these things get, the more fiddly it is with the cable.

Sure, the design possibilities with a ventilated facade are almost limitless – and the advantages for cooling and moisture removal come on top. If you don’t have to watch every last cent, that is in most cases the optimal solution.

Are your panels already (partly) installed or is the construction progress not that far yet?
