Grinding concrete is different from sanding plaster. Concrete is much harder.
For example, when you level the floor with a concrete grinder, there is a lot of dust development.
Our walls are already very even. So I can start right away with the grinding or polishing discs.
The material removal is very low but a very fine grinding dust is produced. With a good extraction system (fine filter...) it is not a problem. The extraction does not work so well on edges. But overall no drama. I get the dirtiest when cleaning and putting away the tools.
Wearing a mask is still advisable.

I use a system from Hilti (DGH 130). With the grinding/polishing discs the removal is quite low.
As with every rotary machine, you have to run smoothly parallel to the wall. With tilting, there are (slight) marks.
But it’s not like with plaster where you immediately get an edge with 1 cm depth.
The goal is for the walls to be smooth. They do not have to be 100% even.

But the building material doesn't allow for that either. [Sicht] Concrete is a natural product. Perfection doesn't belong there at all.

Theoretically, it would be possible. The question is with what effort. We see it the same way as you do. It is a natural product and it is not supposed to be 100% uniform. Neither the surface nor the appearance.

Crazy! What a project! For me personally, that would be a disaster but great to see something like that... I’m really curious how it will look when finished. Good luck going forward.

Why [Supergau]? Too big? Too large rooms? Style?

Honestly, all three and also an extreme consumption of resources for a two-person dwelling. My dream house, if it wasn't about storage space and practical use, etc., would be more like the category of a crooked, funny witch's house. But luckily tastes are so different and I like it when someone does their own thing.
