For KNX I have a good planner and integrator that I know. He also equipped the house at my parents' place and I have looked at other projects by him. I am sure there are other good ones as well. The problem is often something else. KNX is never a topic where you just go and say "I would like KNX". You have to be heavily involved yourself, know what you want and have some knowledge of the subject (infrastructure, addressing, ETS programming etc.) Or do it completely yourself. We are going with Gira even though it is not quite as flexible. Actuators will also come from different manufacturers. My wife is not very tech-savvy and knows the Gira visualization. Besides that, I don't want to have another app. At my parents’ place I hardly ever use the panels. Mostly just the phone or tablet.
The ventilation is designed differently and also controllable in the rooms. So I have no concern that it will be too loud in the bedroom, for example.
There is a garden planner. However, this is still somewhat secondary. I already had to plan the irrigation (main distribution) because we have to supply the corresponding areas from the cistern (through the filter). The roof gardens will have different strengths of substructure. That means larger plants are also possible on the garage. There are a few ideas already. It will be relatively low-maintenance but it is important to us that we create or preserve sufficient habitat for insects, birds, etc.
The toilet on the ground floor is not ideally positioned. I completely agree with you on that. The rest fits us perfectly though. Moving the toilet would worsen many other things, which we do not want.
Originally, we had thought about a swimming pond or natural pool. The regeneration zone would be towards the pavilion (which would not have been necessary due to the technology but only for aesthetics) and the swimming area towards the house. However, a swimming pond should not be heated (>22°) and some people also have a problem swimming if it does not look sterile... So it turned into a saltwater pool running the entire length with a foil lining. After we looked at several pools, it became clear that we would go with a stainless steel pool. That does not go well with saltwater. There are apparently a few manufacturers that offer this (made of V4S) but the costs are enormous and the durability is not really proven yet. Our pool can be heated, is insulated and covered. So you could also jump in at lower temperatures (if it is heated or not frozen). We did not want a pool inside the house or leading into the house. These rooms should be separated off. You need dehumidification (high energy consumption) etc.
