what just came to my mind on the topic:

History of my internet speeds:
• about 25 years ago? -> modem 14.4, then 56K (dial-up PPPOE) (network COAX )
... Mausnet ... green monitors ... BTX ... oh, that was a long time ago
• ISDN (dial-up), then ISDN flat with Fli4L router/proxy (who still knows that)
• DSL Lite (yes really, about 0.75MBit/s)
• DSL 3-6MBit/s
• 16,000 DSL wow ...
• then finally VDSL 50 with Speedport 920, then W921
• Since Telekom couldn’t deliver anymore -> UnityMedia 400/20 also for failover.
• Upgrade Vodafone to 400/30 for 30 euros less even
• Recently then upgrade Telekom from 50 to 250MBit/s

I started, or rather my parents back then, at 56k. I am also a few years younger. Then ISDN and then the jump to DSL 16,000. After that, various contracts with cable providers. For the house, I currently have 400/40 with DualStack. That is enough for me. cool setup and interesting profession. But the WAF is low

It's progressing very slowly. I can't see any Keystone modules anymore .
Punching down is now done in my sleep. All the LAN cables pulled so far are connected to the patch panels. The routing inside the cabinet is not final yet since more cables will be added and I might move the cabinet a bit. Not all patch cables are connected yet.
Tomorrow I will start up the router and switch and make some changes to the configuration.
I will install the remaining components later.


The installation of the substructure for the ceiling is also underway. The HVAC guys placed a couple of pipes too low. They will fix that next week...
