Did you expect to get this much criticism?
I think you can handle it or – well, I hope so, I would still like to see one or two photos later on...

And maybe you’ll reconsider the thing with the toilets. If you don’t want to give them any daylight (which I’d find okay, I can really do without it when visiting someone else), then at least move their position.
And not "away from the kitchen next to the sofa," but a good bit further.
I would definitely go to the basement at your place, regardless of whether there’s a soundproof door or not.

You’re dealing with an amount of money most people here can probably only dream of.
And yes, it’s true that just because you have the money, you don’t have to spend it on every little bit of frills that’s possible (otherwise you’d soon have nothing left) – but you should still pay attention to basic things. It’ll be a hassle if the toilets are to stay stacked. I think I’d still go to the trouble.

Where does it say anything about a "planned KNX overkill"? Did I overlook that?

Post #75 suggests that this is not just about 5 lights and 10 shutters.

The optimum is different for everyone. I don’t need an additional shower if I practically use it three times a year. Likewise, I don’t add more storage space if I already know that I don’t need it.

I lived for a few years in a house with KNX and therefore know what I use or what makes sense for me. Illuminated glass walls, for example, are not among them. I think they wouldn’t fit the style of the house either. Just because something could be controlled via KNX doesn’t mean I would install it... I prefer to live in my homeland. I can always go on vacation. And I don’t want to tie myself down with a holiday home...

I find constructive criticism to be something positive. And it wasn’t that much criticism at all. A few points were mentioned several times, the rest are personal ideas about what belongs in such a house or simply different needs.

Such nonsense. I don’t read anything about DALI, 1Wire, Audio ... if you combine all that, one could speak of "overkill".
