I think I'm repeating myself
even though the house is neither my style nor my environmental idea (crazy space and resource consumption for 2 little people) - watching the construction is exciting and I think it's great that we get so many insights from such a project. Thank you

With more powerful modules, we could have added a bit more. We have 310 watt modules.

When looking at the photo, there still seems to be space for another row to the south. The parapet is also very low, maybe another row could fit next to it. Or alternatively flat and upright supported to the south. Depending on the visual preference, the parapet might then need to be raised so that the modules are not visible from below (personally, I don't like it at all when you can see what's on the flat roof from below).

Recommendations get you better customers than advertising. Therefore, a craftsman should make use of the psychology of revealing language and consciously use the association of "clean work" with "clean work". Anyone who wears their old clothes over an oily coverall and drives the van to the junkyard will mainly get orders from cheapskates.

What is that? - can you please explain that "for dummies"? - I am a technical salesman with zero specific knowledge in the Renewable Energy Sources Act area.

The clean construction site also made a very positive impression on me. We saw the same with our craftsmen. Last but not least, this is also a trust-building measure, because whoever leaves a clean construction site also leaves the impression of working carefully. And what can I say: the "dirtiest" on the construction site also delivered the worst work in our experience.
: Regarding the photovoltaic system - if you consider the photovoltaic system as a financial product, you probably could have gotten more out of it. But with the goal of optimizing self-consumption, the east-west orientation is anything but bad advice; it is a different decision. To me, that looks like "done right."
: In everything we do, we can discover a downside, and I find the way you address the high resource consumption per person sympathetic and pleasantly non-ideological. I think in these projects, it is great that people receive good money for good work on a project they can identify with, and it is not assigned by the motto "who does it cheaper." We still have to live in our society from what we work for, and these projects and clients are urgently needed.

We were also advised by our energy consultants that an east/west orientation is more optimal for private use (we have southeast and northwest due to the location). That makes sense to me: in the morning, a working person first needs electricity, so it's good if the first morning rays already deliver some. In the evening, they are then back and use the evening sun.

As I said: if we don't have the sauna on, it works very well for us. Since one side is southeast, we have sun on it for a long time and quasi without interruption (yes yes, the angle of incidence obviously gets worse) it continues with the west side.

What we feed in is really pretty much indifferent to us. We'll see what comes of it, we don't get paid much anyway. So for us, that's more of a nice add-on.
