Yuck..... I think you should invite us all over sometime so we can help you stock the grill neatly.

: Stop trying to butter me up with your heart emojis, that doesn’t work on Rick, whom I almost, if I may mention it casually, would have adopted. All that was missing was Rick’s and his parents’ consent. If anyone belongs to the close circle of friends, it would rather be the almost-mom. ;-)

Are they "just" numb or "blocked," and: is it already fading away?

Have been completely gone for one to two weeks after recovery. So really numb.

Taste has somewhat returned but maybe 10% of what it was before. Smell at 5%. Extremely salty, sweet, sour... I can taste.

Know someone who got it back after almost half a year. Hope it comes back faster for me.

So the symptoms only appeared for you posttraumatic?

Look it up again in the Duden.

Get well soon.
Losing the sense of smell/taste can greatly affect the joy of life if it lasts too long. It should not be underestimated. I once had it temporarily as a side effect of medication, the only advantage was the weight loss resulting from it – the enjoyment is missing.
