With the final invoice and retention of security, that is of course. But here it was about the down payment invoice even before it started. I also want the craftsmen to start on time... And I don't have to fully use the payment term then.

Today was an exciting and thrilling day. More than half of all the glasses were installed.

Unfortunately, one of the glasses cracked. It was probably secured too tightly during transport. The glasses had already been with us for a long time but were shrink-wrapped. Now we’ll see how quickly we can get replacements. Ideally, we could swap them together with the remaining glasses after grinding the floor. There is also a rear pane. So, the front one must also be removed for the exchange.

The Swiss team together with the crane operator did a great job. Sometimes it was a matter of millimeters:

At midday, meatloaf sandwiches and drinks were provided for all the construction workers (glass installers, crane operator, plasterer, and elevator inspector (internal)).

A hand truck was also used downstairs for two glasses (here it is on the upper floor in case they needed it).

The heaviest pane weighed “only” 600 kg. The large ones will come after the floor is finished.

It looks quite different now

The team will need another day or two to connect everything, partially install gutters, finish window joints, etc.

I don’t want to bother you with too many pictures or chatter
Just ask if you want to know or see anything else.

These are welded, gas-filled glass units. We also had two defects; in those cases, the entire unit was replaced (because it is purchased as a single piece from the glazier anyway). Or is it different with your system?
