Today there is a lot going on at the construction site again. In addition, the weather is great. The utility company came with 4 vehicles. ops: Water is already connected. Electricity is currently being connected to the line. The gas line on the property and the connection in the house are in place. Only the connection to the main line is still taking some time. We will be connected to a larger supply line. Since its protection no longer looks good, a part will be replaced. For this, a bypass will be created first so that the other consumers won’t be without gas. At least we can now sand the pipes and close the trenches on the property.

To use the vocabulary my colleague used here: intense project. Really interesting to follow.

I probably overlooked it: What is the gas connection for? Your heating will surely be a heat pump, right?!

The heating is gas. It gets too cold here so that the heat pumps no longer operate really efficiently. Additionally, we require a high peak power in case we want to heat the pool. Hence the decision for gas. Additionally, there is controlled residential ventilation with heat recovery, a photovoltaic system, and a central air conditioning unit which can also function as a heat pump.

The weather was still very good this week. Meanwhile, all house connections (gas, water, and electricity) as well as Telekom and cable are in place. Work has begun on the foundations for the enclosure as well as the piping for the heating. Heating and installation of the underfloor heating will follow next year. On the roofs, the protective coating and the elephant skin are applied. Insulation, slope panels, and further construction will follow. My new hobby for the past few days: grinding and polishing concrete. In the garage, only 1 step and in the living areas, 3 steps. Currently at chest height. Once this is done, with a rolling scaffold, up to just below the ceiling. I wish you all a contemplative Christmas season.

How is the concrete further processed?
Do you sand again after filling the joints?
