Sorry that you can't get anywhere with reason with your neighbors. We only have one neighbor and we get along with them. But we actually can't get in each other's way either. Such properties are not suitable for everyone and very rare. Just the property tax alone when a new house is built on it... We are glad that we found it and look forward to finally living there. We can hear the church, cows, ducks, chickens... a real idyll (for us).

As already mentioned elsewhere, yesterday the staking took place. Right on time, it also started to rain. The excavator belongs to the demolition contractor who tore down the old house and the barn over a year ago. Only now could the debris be disposed of because there were "problems" with him, the authorities, and the landfills. Hence also the small hole or the barren earth. Now you can slowly guess the dimensions. Unfortunately, the gentlemen only realized now that due to our pit and the needed slope, the rear hedge cannot be preserved. Since we want privacy again (there are quite dilapidated greenhouses behind the hedge at the neighbor’s) and we have to stabilize the slope, this means about 50 meters of additional retaining wall at 3 meters high. At least something is moving now..

This is what the property looked like with debris. The front hedge (beech) has already been removed. I am sorry about the rear one (thuja) as it is almost 100 years old and with a few years of care it would have been great again. The house will begin far back on the right. The power pole has been relocated.

Somehow I had always imagined your house on a somewhat remote plot of several thousand square meters. In reality, your neighbors are quite close after all.

One can be mistaken
It’s just a neighbor and we do not see him. At the back (NordOst) we have no windows. At the front and the other side we have an unobstructed view. That is how the whole house is oriented.
We do use a large part of the property. Nowhere did I say that we have a 30,000 m2 park.
She sees the location on the property as follows:

Congratulations on the start of construction.

I think it's nice how you can currently observe great projects on the slope here. . Keep it up!!

It's a pity about the hedge and 50m of retaining wall is not without ops:!
