Ah, very nice! Even though Schüller is not made in our area like almost all other German kitchens, we have always ended up with Schüller as well. Unfortunately, Next has become difficult budget-wise, so we are stuck with the "budget range." But the lava black just captivated us. The Next series really offers very interesting solutions, which, however, tend to work better in large rooms/kitchens.

May I ask in which design direction you are going?

yeah we stayed local with Häcker anyway...

about the bird again: I know that the bird stickers don't help, I wasn't talking about those either. There are lots of options, but I assume they’re probably not an option for you, because of course they affect the view from the inside. Maybe the birds are lucky and it doesn’t affect you so much.

I'll take the pool once please... although... I think it doesn’t even fit in our garden in terms of length

This is not a pool but naturally a duck pond, repurposed also usable as a bird bath. Still water works wonders for headaches.
Almost as a compensatory measure.

I once entered that for fun into the ubakus. Simple concrete conducts heat wonderfully well to the outside, and every piece of iron inside makes it even worse. To achieve the minimally required 0.24 W/m²K, you need a staggering 10m thick concrete walls. However, the summer thermal protection is then world class.

But this only works theoretically. In practice, you heat the walls for the first 4 winter months until a comparable condition to a normal 0.24 wall is established.

At 10m, the wall is made accessible by an intermediate passage and a fire is lit inside it. Then you basically live in an oven.
