Measured with 10hz GPS: 4.1 seconds 0-100km/h and 12.15 seconds 100-200km/h. I’m already looking forward to when the warranty finally expires and I can have a software update installed... I think then it will be in the mid 3.xx second range.

And is that necessary? How often do you really floor it or push through like that? Sure, acceleration is nice but by now I just don’t care whether my car does 0 to 100 in 2.7 or 3.1 seconds. Apart from the fact that temperature, tires, load ... play a big role.

If you are already traveling in such regions, I wouldn't care either

it's all just a hobby...

Haha yes exactly. You have to show the Golf R that manages 4.1 seconds stock.
I myself drive the "big cheap" brother, a Leon ST Cupra with all-wheel drive and the same power. Of course it is a bit heavier, but more like 4.8 than 4.1.
But before this becomes a virtual dick comparison... Yes, you’re right...

Mine does it in 3.6s, but I don't care. More important are traction, sound, and low center of gravity. As soon as the eCars come, these values will be worthless. Then there will often be a 2,x...

I hope we are both talking about the "new" 7-speed transmission. Because it makes a world of difference compared to the old 6-speed...
