Bauhaus concrete villa with core insulation - experiences

This is small.

Unfortunately, the rest is not going smoothly. Despite the geological survey, we are having some bad luck with the building ground. We have a clay lens on the property, so all the groundwater flows through there. Therefore, we have to excavate part of it again, establish a different foundation, and install a drainage system. There are also problems with the slope of the excavation pit. We are currently in talks with the neighbor about whether we can excavate 2.5 meters from his property (temporarily). His wall, which he built himself last year, would also be removed... But we are not letting this spoil our excitement about the house.

One does not like to hear that. Especially when there are such jabs right at the beginning.

18 meters long and 76,000 liters. We switched to a smaller one as it fits better in the installation space in front of the pool. Originally, we wanted 90m3. This gives us more options for designing the garden to the left of the pool.

76 m³ is quite a statement

We drain all areas except the yard into the cistern. We also have a well/spring from which we pump (very low flow rate but better than nothing). Thus, we should have enough water for the garden even if there are a few hot and dry weeks.
