In the pool and house it is warm ;)
Besides, traveling is currently not sensible and only possible with many restrictions.
Even our vacation, which has already been postponed by a year, will quite certainly not be able to take place.
But I have enough to do, we enjoy the house and its possibilities.

please tell me, how high is the cooking chamber? It looks very shallow. Can I roast a big chicken standing upright in there? In the picture, it looks like you can't. And I also believe that a Napoleon Prestige is anything but cheap. At least for me, no grill with cast iron grates will ever enter my house again. Throwing it away is inevitable.

I haven't measured it. But it's enough. Otherwise, you can also use the rotisserie. The Napoleon Prestige is certainly not cheap. But in no way comparable to the Flammkraft (unfortunately not in price either). The Block D has approximately the same grilling area as the largest Prestige. On the far left is a Beefer area. A stainless steel plate can also be inserted here. I like coated cast iron grates. They retain heat significantly better. I also haven't had one break yet. After cooling down, just spray some cooking oil on it with a cloth and you're done. My grill is also covered and placed under a roof. Spending several thousand euros on a grill can only be justified as a hobby. If you can't get a steak right on a cheap grill, you won't manage on a 6,000 euro grill either. In combination with sous vide, it becomes even easier. I was looking for a grill with a larger grilling area, good quality, and appearance. The Flammkraft is definitely a different class than Weber grill, Napoleon.

my post was somewhat unclear. Regarding your grill, it was actually only the height of the cooking chamber that was directed at you. The rest of the post was more aimed at those who claim that everything else is "cheap." You have to see everything in context. Comparing a 6K € grill with a 2K € one only makes sense if you have the money. Hobby or not. (As I said, this is not directed at you). Such a comparison would not do justice to either grill. It would be bad if your grill fell short against such a grill. As for the grate, yes, cast iron retains heat much better. My experience is that if you tend to use a grill 4-5 times a week and also cook on it, these things unfortunately get ruined quickly. Whether you take care of them or not. That is the nature of the matter. Iron just rusts. In the end, it might also be a matter of belief. Like with many things. How it behaves with the grate of a 6K € grill, I admittedly cannot judge. It might be different there.

Or maybe better a grill thread? ;)
