my post was a bit misleading. Regarding your grill, it was actually only the height of the cooking chamber that was addressed to you. The rest of the post was rather directed at those who claim everything else is "cheap." You have to see everything in relation. Comparing a 6K € grill with a 2K € one only makes sense if you have the money. Hobby or not. (As I said, this is not directed at you). Such a comparison does not do justice to either grill. It would be bad if your grill pales in comparison to such a grill. As for the grate, yes, cast iron retains heat much better. My experience is that if you tend to use a grill 4-5 times a week and also cook on it, these things unfortunately get ruined quickly. Care or no care. That's the nature of the matter. Iron simply rusts. In the end, this may also be a matter of belief. Like with so many things. However, I admittedly cannot judge how it behaves with the grate of a 6K € grill. Maybe it is different there.
No one claimed that everything else is cheap. That is exactly NOT what was stated here. But: Napoleon for >2000€ is money badly spent. In this price range, there are clearly higher-quality devices, e.g. from Bull. Visit a grill exhibition that has Weber grills, Napi, Broil King, and e.g. Bull and trust your own judgment about what might be worth its money and what is not. In a "dry exercise," just a weight comparison is enough. The first mentioned have thin sheets and quite a lot of plastic. The lids wobble when you tug on them. A Bull of comparable size weighs almost twice as much. Where does that probably come from ...
Roosters belong on the rotisserie and not upright ;-)
