No one claimed that everything else is cheap. That is exactly NOT what was stated here. But: Napoleon for >2000€ is money badly spent. In this price range, there are clearly higher-quality devices, e.g. from Bull. Visit a grill exhibition that has Weber grills, Napi, Broil King, and e.g. Bull and trust your own judgment about what might be worth its money and what is not. In a "dry exercise," just a weight comparison is enough. The first mentioned have thin sheets and quite a lot of plastic. The lids wobble when you tug on them. A Bull of comparable size weighs almost twice as much. Where does that probably come from ...

Roosters belong on the rotisserie and not upright ;-)

Well, in reality, grilling is like driving a car. The only thing that matters is the driver, the rest is just a tool.

I have also had a small Napoleon in practically continuous use for 5 years now. I really grill a lot, all year round, it’s probably about 100 uses per year on average. It still works perfectly, of course it no longer looks like new, but you can’t say it’s of poor quality.

The grilling season lasts 12 months ;) so fire it up. My old grill (Webergrill Summit lx something in stainless steel) was also good. I sold it to a friend. It will serve him well for many years to come. I still have to get used to the Flammkraft and the other burners. The feel and look of the Flammkraft are really amazing. However, the grilling results don't get better because of that.

Unfortunately, the suitable shelter for the winter grilling season is (still) missing :(

Us too - our cheap entry-level model has rusted through after almost five years (no, not the cast iron grill grates, but the body and the holders for the burner tubes, which is really a bummer). It was a Profi Cook for something around 200€ and it served its purpose. Since we couldn’t store it in the apartment, it was outside on the terrace all year round - of course covered, but still exposed to rain and snow. So that’s understandable - what annoys me is just the pile of trash it now is.

The Flammkraft is really cool - I fell in love with it instantly. But I’m realistic enough that it’s not in our price range; unfortunately...

However, we found a very interesting provider: purely an online retailer, but the gas grills are really very good for the price. Ask the Gockel about Burnhard.

That will probably be our next one...

Of course, it’s not as chic as the Flammkraft.
