Wait with the building application because of the child construction allowance

The discussion is very tedious. There are still many constellations that can be constructed and discussed about what is "fair" there. Ultimately, we do not know anything concrete or definitively decided at the moment and beyond that... we will not be able to change it.

Just as an addition, here is another example:

Case 4: Family with 2 children. Income below the income limits. Instead of blowing everything and living extravagantly, the young couple decided to buy a condominium early and bear a higher burden rather than rent. Now with two children, they want to expand... Do they get the Baukindergeld or not?

It’s no use getting upset. There will be a cutoff date for every subsidy, there will be a limit for every subsidy. Some qualify, others do not. And some of it is certainly unfair (subjective and maybe even objective).

Exactly my thought! Well, I think politics rarely promotes exactly what is supposed to be promoted [emoji52]

But CDU/CSU promised the deadline of 01.07.2017 in their election program. Now the construction child benefit is coming from CDU/CSU, but not with the promised deadline.

This is voter deception. CDU/CSU are therefore no longer electable in the future because you can no longer believe their statements. It has been like that with the SPD for a long time, now also with CDU/CSU.. hmm.. at least it makes future voting decisions easier...

...assuming that you might be able to form a government a bit earlier?

As I said, very tedious. I don't want to defend anything here, especially not CDU/CSU, but basing your future voting decisions on the delay of the introduction of the Baukindergeld from 07/01/17 to 01/01/18 is a bit short-sighted for me and sounds more like a decision made from a "grumpy" mood. But it is your decision and your right.

Whether cases 2 and 3 are eligible for funding is not yet clear. It may be that there is no funding eligibility for owner-occupied property so far. Who knows?

In case 2, you usually have to sell in order to raise equity capital. Ideally to someone who is eligible for funding. So it makes no difference whether you invested your money in a rental property or in financial investments.

Ingratitude is the world's reward.

But even here in the forum, statements have been made that I have left uncommented. I have no interest in envy debates, especially when you don’t know what effort (performance + sacrifice) is behind it.

In a coalition, compromises must also be made between the parliamentary groups. Who says that CDU/CSU did not want to enforce the date? Maybe SPD was against it.

No matter what the federal government does, you will always find someone who feels disadvantaged. If July 1, 2017 had been implemented, those from 2016 would have complained.

Honestly, I don't care about the whole thing anyway. I am in and unexpectedly get €40,000. For that, I have 10% higher construction costs (which is more than I get back) compared to those who built in 2016 and I have to pay the 10% immediately. I then receive the money in small amounts over 10 years and diligently pay interest.
