How can you finance a construction or house purchase with a net income of 40k? I read it too, on Spiegel online, but it’s really beyond me.
Even if the reporting suggests otherwise, the vast majority of Germans do not live in the top 5 cities of this country. The majority live in the outskirts or in rural areas. Prices are different there. That is exactly why it is ridiculous that a few million in the country are crying out for relief in the city – it is disproportionate. But it dominates the media.
Of course, that's fine. More than that. I just find 40k extremely little. In the financing forum, financing would be discouraged at that income. Or are there really such cheap houses? It has become so expensive everywhere.
