The Taxpayers Association has just torn apart the planned Baukindergeld and comes to the conclusion that, as usual, the wrong people will probably benefit from it.
From a regulatory policy perspective, the whole concept is unsuitable anyway ...
Just because you can build without subsidies doesn't mean you belong to the wrong ones, yeah right . I haven't factored it in yet, but of course I'll gladly take it if it comes. Even if it's 4% of the construction sum for 2 children, I'm happy about it. Even if it were only €1000, I would be happy. Every euro helps reduce the burden somewhere.
It's not like the state gets nothing out of it either, like additional property taxes, boosting the already booming construction industry, bank bailouts :-p, etc.
