There is. Just Google Bavarian home ownership allowance and then there is a link to the guidelines. But the Q&A is sufficient as well.

Collection 2019

Relevant for the household income:
Tax return 2016 (not married)
Tax return 2017 (married & jointly assessed)

Now a silly question, if I claim that in 2016 I was not together with my current wife, do I only have to submit my tax return for 2016?

:-p now everyone comes out of their holes and gets creative.
But interesting idea or situation. There are only 3 possible solutions:
1. only your tax return
2. both tax returns even if not jointly assessed
3. 2018 will be backdated

I vote for 2.

Seems like we are eligible. Yay.
Let's see where the [Whirlpool] will go.

This corresponds to our situation if the move-in happens in 2019. And I have not found this issue described precisely from the beginning

1. makes sense, as I am / will be the applicant
2. life partner and partner from a marriage-like relationship are both registered and official? Then according to the definition not point 2, as this does not apply to me
3. Would be a possibility, although not defined either.

Of course, that would make the most sense, but see the text above. Tax-wise joint assessment would of course be better than both individually. Therefore a disadvantage for us in 2016. Sure our bad luck, but I mean as life partners or marriage-like partnership one can also be jointly assessed?

Congratulations.

Regarding the last post . I believe there won't be such loopholes. The concrete guideline is missing. However, I suspect that for such cases, which are not uncommon, there will be no workaround and, if in doubt, one will be disadvantaged.
