You are usually so quick to google anyway. The graduate engineer (FH) public service starts at E10, my year-end statement shows exactly 50,291.06 euros.

For further remuneration, google TVöD info, look at the pay scales and don’t spout hot air.

Why is anyone writing about salary in the public service here now? In the public service it depends on the tariff district, the education, but unfortunately also how the position is classified. In the public service they like to trick nowadays. You get hired as a clerk but do higher-level work. This, however, is only counted as 49% of the working time. And so you remain a cheap employee – regardless of whether Dipl/Ing.... or not – performance bonuses in the public service are a cheek? You don’t get consecutive years with top marks. Besides, the budget is limited. And the desired evaluations must be evenly distributed...

I endured the public service for 4 years. As an IT specialist, overtime without end, pay ridiculous...

Now I have been in a larger industrial company with an IG Metall collective agreement for 6 years. Just by changing I get nearly 1500€ more monthly. The advancement opportunities there are also "faster" than in the public service.

All respect to the people who stay in the public service anyway. And I mean that seriously and not ironically.

You completely agree with him because...?

The 3rd, 4th, and 5th child have just as much a "right" to their own room as the first and second. Or are you building without children’s rooms because they will be empty later anyway?

Ah, all clear then. Sorry for "snapping" on my part. I also found your situation somewhat similar to ours. The Baukindergeld in its currently planned form will not help families in general to get their own home, but only a very specific part of families. I think it could have been designed much more fairly. Especially when it is also about simplifying private retirement provision.

Yes, that's true. Let's see if and how it actually happens. It's tedious to get annoyed. I already understand that there is always a limit somewhere, someone always falls behind. It would just be a "pity" if one is "punished" for having tried to build something earlier than others.
