I don't remember that anymore. However, as I just read on the KfW website, it is apparently not possible after all. After re-registration, you have 6 months, and if you are already past the 3rd [SSM] by then, it should generally work out. If, due to the calculated due date, it might become a tight situation, consider planning ahead and, if possible, postpone the move/re-registration a bit. If the child is still born in the 7th month after the move, then so be it. The child's well-being should be the top priority.

There are actually people who don't know anything about this subsidy... Or didn't understand the bank advisor.

Yesterday I told a colleague this after congratulating him on the birth of his 2nd daughter.
Bought a house in June, daughter born in August, currently renovating.
As far as I see it, now just a re-registration is enough to be eligible?

If it is the only property at the time of the re-registration, then yes.

Oh, come on, seriously? That really unsettles me. Just imagine finding this out after the train has left! Maybe also in BY. Then he would have simply missed out on around €40k.
