- no commute to work, therefore savings on fuel costs. With exclusive home office even one less car (purchase, maintenance)
- childcare costs at least partially eliminated

And your reason for the home office may be special. However, most employees appreciate at least some home office during their working hours.

Economic nonsense, new construction in regions with shrinking populations. And please don’t give me the last three years where the population went up everywhere because of refugees. It’s about many regions of Germany structurally shrinking, not just the countryside, by the way.
