Hi,
am I correct in understanding that the decisive date for the building application is the deadline for the application for a new build, but not the application itself.

In other words, a building application from 2020 and a submission in 2021 after completion and moving in / re-registration (within 3 months) should still be possible?
The application itself can only be submitted after the re-registration.

Hi,

yep, the application can be submitted by 31.12.23 at the latest (of course considering the other conditions). This can be taken from the KfW information sheet.

The exciting question will be whether the funding will last until then... Many already "fear" it will be used up this year...

So in 2020 there will still be a fund for the Baukindergeld, that much the KFW told me.

Just to be sure ...
That means if our building application is approved in 2019 but our house is only completed at the beginning of 2021, I can only submit the application starting in 2021 as described.
But even if no Baukindergeld is paid anymore in 2021, since my building application represents the cutoff date – meaning 2019 – I am entitled to it here.
Once the money has been exhausted, that will be it.

The illustration has a lot of chance involved, we calculate it as a "bonus," a more professional and above all adequate implementation would have been desirable here.

But you don't know how long that will last... if the whole thing about the funds is even true...

Have you looked at the information sheet on the KfW homepage in the meantime? It's clearly stated there.

The building permit must be granted by 12/31/2020. Baukindergeld must be applied for by 12/31/2023 at the latest. You can only submit the application once you have moved in and then within 3 months.

The information sheet is known, I just wanted to have that confirmed once more.

The implementation has not succeeded. It motivates builders to make a quick decision to be ready to move in as quickly as possible and thus get access to the funds.

But enough polemics – if it still works out, we will be happy about it too.
Planning security – not unimportant for families – looks different though.
