I can 100% agree with this conclusion regarding existing properties. Nothing helps there.

....except buying, notarizing, and of course running to the bank this week. As soon as the law is passed, the market for existing properties will heat up.

The market should regulate that. After all, it would be easy for a provider B to say that they are 12 or 24k cheaper. If you want this one property anyway, the Baukindergeld peanuts won't change anything.

I'm not so sure about that. In our region, I notice that the real estate market has been saturated in terms of prices for about a year now, meaning it stays at a high level. Now houses are also being listed for longer periods.

In addition, the number of people eligible for subsidies will be significantly lower than currently portrayed. When I look at our district, almost everyone acquired property BEFORE the children were there.

It always depends on what was used as the basis for these 94% eligible for funding. There will certainly be couples without children now who want to have 2 children and complete the house planning in 2.5 years. It will be fun to read the next threads here.

Nothing is saturated with us yet. Prices are rather becoming outrageous. Single-family house 2015 150 sqm without basement 600k€ with a land price of 180€/sqm and 609 sqm of land. In addition, there are the ancillary purchase costs.

Now I am seriously considering whether I should

1. go part-time in order to be eligible for the [BKG],
2. sell my house for good money to [BKG]-eligible people to benefit a little from it,
3. build a new house myself and apply for [BKG].

Or is 3. not possible?

I just thought of something else: it is still unclear whether the purchase contract date or the move-in date counts? At least both were rumored in the press. And accordingly, from when can you apply: after the purchase contract or only after moving in?
