But the house already stands, even without funding. Why throw more money at it?
It’s supposed to be a child construction allowance. In your version, it becomes a birth bonus that only homeowners receive.

No, the signed notarization contract from 11/2017 screwed it up. Having the child at the time of moving in wouldn't have mattered either, neither from the federal government nor from Bavaria. The Bavarian child construction allowance depends on the federal conditions and the home ownership subsidy has the cutoff date of 06/30/18, which is even more "strict".

Well, not really. From January, the general contractor immediately increased the prices for identical houses by 12,000 and a short time later by another 10 or 15 grand. This way, he directly took the allowances from three-person families one-to-one, as well as the home ownership allowance with the second increase.

The Lord gives, the Lord takes away....

You do have half a year after moving in to apply for the Blaukindergeld, right?
We registered at the new address on 1.1. Our second child is coming at the end of April. After the birth, I will apply for the Baukindergeld from the federal government and the Bavarian one as well as the Bavarian home ownership allowance and have so far assumed that this will work. With only one child, we are above the limit.

Um, what exactly is the Baukindergeld currently any different? Here, the "bonus" would be given not at moving in but at birth. In both cases, this bonus would then be used for a specific purpose to acquire living space.

Interesting, - then you need a new registration confirmation showing the 2nd child - and the start of registration must not be on it, because initially you only moved in with one child. - and the exceeding of the limit is visible or can be proven with the income tax from 2017 and 2018? That means the new child does not help to raise the limit or plays no role at all because the child was not there during the reference period! Or do you see it differently? I strongly suspect that if you already exceed the limit with child 1, and you just wrote that, then there is nothing at all! What is the limit for you, is it these 90k€ zvE? Or did you calculate with 90k€ gross household income, which is wrong!
