Wait with the building application because of the child construction allowance

Is there a possibility under the following circumstances:

- Building permit 2018
- Construction 2019 - early 2020
- Offspring first half of 2020

to apply for/receive Baukindergeld?

Is a single parent actually qualified as well? And: it says in the FAQ that the funding is only applicable for the primary residence. Whose primary residence does that refer to, the applicant's (and the children only need to live in the household), or do the children actually need to have their primary residence there? Has anyone found any information about this?

Even as an AE, one can receive Baukindergeld, provided the assessment basis is appropriate and one personally receives the child benefit for the child.

Since the Baukindergeld must be applied for based on the registration confirmation as the cutoff date, I would consider it a requirement that the child is also registered with the applicant as their primary residence.

Thanks first of all, Sauerland. But the child is also registered if it has a secondary residence. There is a confirmation for that and, for example, for tax class II that is enough. It lives in the household, and I also receive child benefit.

I will probably have to call about the exact interpretation, as all other requirements are met. The father just does not agree to the registration of the primary residence with me.

Then you will probably have bad luck. The main residence must be the property. It is also a Baukindergeld and not a home ownership allowance.
