Storage space is not necessary? Where do the wardrobe / shoes go? Drinks, food..? Do you still want to crawl up to the attic once a month at the age of 60? The stairs are neither age-appropriate nor child-friendly.. the dream of a house looks different for many, I find it more comfortable in many apartments in Germany and I am more flexible as well..
