Living space is not the same as floor area. Therefore, it is more appropriate to use WoFIV, which is also relevant for other funding components.

Even if so, the Wohnflächenverordnung includes all above-ground rooms in the calculation. There is no utility room that is excluded from the living space there.

The following question: Why is it fairer to reduce the income limit to €60,000? Higher income is very often also associated with more diligence or longer working hours. In our company, there are 35-hour and 40-hour contracts. Let's assume the 35-hour contract brings in €55,000 and the 40-hour contract accordingly €62,800. Why wouldn't the person with the 40-hour contract deserve support?

Please let us remain factual. For 2 children, it concerns a taxable income of 105k€, that is 130k€ gross per year!!! We are talking about 6500€ net per month here. With that, a 150sqm place should easily be paid off even without Baukindergeld. Nobody here is living hand to mouth! I too planned without Baukindergeld. As I wrote earlier, it’s about the principle. There is a Polish proverb: "You shouldn’t make a backside out of your mouth," meaning that what you promise, you should also keep.

I doubt that very much. Current market prices result from (low) supply and (high) demand. So if I stimulate demand in the cities by giving money to buyers, what happens then? There is no need to argue for long that this is more of a political issue than real support against the housing shortage. But if you get young families to build in rural areas, you relieve the housing market in the cities and support rural regions from becoming deserted. Certainly only marginal effects, but the direction is basically not the wrong one.

Oh, so it can be easily managed....our construction, due to the local land prices, has a volume of 520,000.
That is not something you can easily manage.

Of course, no one is starving....but that applies to no one who is building.
