Define target group? I’m not an SPD voter, but they stand up for the little guy, right?
The little guy earns under 75k/year, has 2 or more children, and can’t afford a huge new house. They tend to go for apartments instead.
In cities where public sector employees can’t afford anything, it can certainly be useful. Although in those cities it will probably act more like a drug for all the junkies (construction boom). That will drive prices even higher.
I just went to get some bread. In the Brückenvorstadt (that’s the name of the district and it looks like that) TOP apartments are being built right now. I also suspect mostly under 120 sqm. That would be more like the target group.
