I had read something about 94% for new condensing boilers (so you can certainly ignore it) and about 70% for older ones.

Which is also true. Poorly balanced hydraulics and lousy settings additionally cause efficiency loss.

With almost 30 m2 more space + gas stove, we will end up this year at a little more than half. So a steep forecast.

I haven't even managed 3000 kWh in 5 months with an electric vehicle.

Strange numbers.

Possibly the gas supplier did not take into account/did not know that we have solar thermal support. I think the house drying was partially done with regular electricity. I don’t yet know how sauna and brewing kitchen impact the consumption. But in the next few weeks we will receive the app iONA from our supplier, which we are really looking forward to. With it, we might be able to identify the main consumers.

The price caps won't help us either, since we already consume very little and have currently contracted at favorable prices (gas currently around 6ct and electricity around 24 ct). The four of us have recently used about 1800 kWh of electricity and around 9000 kWh of gas. I would have to check exact figures, but we definitely got money back from both providers again. Saving another 20% in our case is almost impossible without really significant restrictions.

I have been recording our consumption for years, and although we have grown in number over time and the apartments (now the house) have become somewhat larger, consumption has decreased. This winter, as a contribution to saving gas, we have not yet turned on the heating and are trying to manage with 18 degrees as long as possible. We live in a small end-terrace house from 1921.

We have been living since May in the 105 sqm old building (heated a bit since March). We were estimated at 15,000 kWh of gas, and we simply set electricity at 2,500 kWh due to the price (previously about 3,200 kWh in the rented apartment). Three people, no one at home during the day until 2 pm. Gas price 0.17 cent and electricity 0.44 cent/kWh. So far we have used 950 kWh of electricity and 267 m3 of gas (x11, so 2937 kWh). Looks good so far and we will probably get something back. In any case, we will benefit from the brake.
