Air heat pump or use gas and solar?

I would then do gas-solar and be happy about the approximately 2000 euros that the whole thing costs less to install. Of course, it is important to design the heating system (flow temperature) in such a way that one could also use a heat pump in 20 years, if the gas boiler should/must be replaced.

Alright.

The only drawback that just came to my mind..... the intended cooling function, for which we specially commissioned a glycol filling of the underfloor heating, would then be obsolete. That only works with the geo pump or a water/water heat pump. Actually a pity, because I now find cooling in summer just as important as heating in winter.

I'll note down the tip. Thanks.

Well, everything has already been said, so why pay more than necessary?

That’s not a drawback, you wouldn’t get more than a slightly cooler floor (a few °C). But a cold floor is of little use in summer... because the air is warm and humid. Cooling effects from underfloor heating via heat pumps are negligible. The place will still get warm.

Furthermore, the efficiency of the air-water heat pump does not depend on the heating load, but on the device and other factors. I am not going to discuss alternatives now either, because I believe you have a certain tunnel vision there. Therefore: have the controlled residential ventilation calculated to see if it is sufficient. What you save with solar, you simply invest in goodies or something.

Ok, Mycraft. I already suspected that this is nothing more than a pure marketing effect.

Why tunnel vision? I don't think so. I am specifically asking here to get assessments and also other opinions and tips. I cannot claim to have a complete market overview and I rely more on what I read here than what the installer tells me who wants to sell me a specific product.

Therefore, it would be nice if you consider another alternative to be reasonable and at least bring it up here so that I can deal with it.

So I don't have a complete market overview as a layperson either. Nor do I have full technical understanding.

I find the price of the surface collectors cheeky. In general, something like that seems expensive where you are.

I would intensively deal with the trench collector. Important are some patience, understanding, three friends on the weekend, and an excavator on an hourly basis. Then you pay about €2000 for the source.

If that is completely out of the question, I would look at how the underfloor heating is designed. If it is designed for a maximum of 35 degrees at normal outside temperature, an air-water heat pump is a real alternative. The region was NRW, right?

Then I would calculate gas with the already planned controlled residential ventilation and save on solar.

But I don't know at what stage you are, nor what else you have on your plate. And unfortunately, heating engineers around here are not all up to date and interested.
