I really had to laugh when I read the text of the TEs. Where did you get that from? Basically, I also started the air-to-water heat pump topic with prejudices. My prejudice was that the outdoor unit tends to ice up in winter and then you have to live without heating for 1-2 weeks or run the electric heating rod until a technician arrives. We had the heating rod proactively disabled by setting for water and heating in case of a possible malfunction of the outdoor unit. Our construction coordinator specified the air-to-water heat pump for us; in his housing projects, he only installs the Alpha Innotec 70 "something". He said he has the least trouble with it, so we chose it.
The underfloor heating has been running without problems for 1 month now, well, winter is still ahead, but just in case, we still have the fireplace.
On the subject of monolithic, air-to-water heat pump, photovoltaics, geothermal exchanger, and centrally controlled residential ventilation, I can say from my own experience that it’s a good combination.
The meter was installed on 21.07 and since then we have consumed 13xx kWh and produced 28xx kWh (140 sqm living space & 70 sqm basement).
The system is 8.7 kWp large, still without storage (that will follow at the end of February). No idea if that’s a lot. I have a purely electric car which I mostly charge at home and drive 70 km daily. Just to put all these values into perspective.
