We are afraid of having too little light. On the south side we have a patio door, then two, then one again. That's because of the kitchen peninsula. I hope the one door in the dining area is enough?
If you are afraid, why don't you simply make more doors? Instead of the one door in the dining area, a double door, what's the problem?

Then the symmetry doesn’t work out... We definitely want to wash and cook on the peninsula. But moving the island to the other wall is stupid, because then you always have to walk around the island when you come from the hallway. That’s probably annoying in everyday life.

I wouldn't do that either. We also have the peninsula on the outer wall so the path isn't too long. Do you think it bothers you if the symmetry isn't there at that point? How about a large continuous sliding door instead of the double door + single door in the dining area? About 4m wide? The kitchen stays as is. That would definitely look great.
Symmetry is indeed important. I am considering a sliding door.
I am still waiting for new drawings. But on the ground floor, it will look like this.
Only that the utility room door and the WC door are to be moved so that I have a wardrobe possibility between the doors, and I am checking if the storage room under the stairs can be accessed through the kitchen.
