Once again the 4 minutes.

I can only recommend paying attention to soft-close on the doors.

There is a wall behind it after all. But acoustically it’s a problematic construction site anyway. 3 cm of Styrofoam can still fit in there. I also had only an opening to the hallway. I then installed sliding doors later after all.

I mean the cavity between the pre-wall and the wall. In normal drywall construction, this is stuffed with mineral wool or wood fiber so that this cavity does not become a resonance chamber. For a sliding door running into the wall, also the space between the cladding and the door leaf, because normally there is more room there. So the door runs into the pre-wall and the sound is amplified through the cavity, causing the entire pre-wall to vibrate. In principle, a drum is being built there.

Thank you for the hints. Soft close is noted and makes total sense. We also specially ordered this for our lift-and-slide door. Soundproofing is also a good hint.

The door is necessary to be able to separate the kitchen from the open space (dining and living). Usually, the door is open but can be closed when cooking. We like to cook, so this is a MUST feature. Regarding ventilation, we have deliberately decided against an exhaust and for a recirculation variant. This decision is final.

Okay. I currently see 3 solutions:

[*]Talk to the tiled stove builder to see if it might be better and even look good if the sliding door runs behind the tiled stove bench. For this, a kind of drywall structure would also need to be built, but only on one side with a depth of 90cm and a height of perhaps 1m. Then the door would run a bit behind the backrest. Advantage: The room feels bigger, disadvantage: sliding door track visible from the dining and living area
[*]The sliding door is minimally clad with drywall on the dining side, disadvantages are loss of sound and additional construction
[*]Sliding door on the kitchen side without cladding, disadvantage is the refrigerator must stand 6-8cm away from the wall so the sliding door can glide behind it. No switches or sockets possible directly at the kitchen entrance.

I would cover the entire wall. Show the floor plan with furniture so that one can better imagine the situation.
