NF practically means 11.5 cm thick; as a facing brick in front of an ETICS and air cavity, it practically only works that way. Was the facing brick your wish? - I interpret 14 cm here as the sum of two layers, otherwise the mention of staggered joints would make no sense. If you wanted monolithic, I would put the facing bricks as slips on top and rather use more stone (30 cm); in 36.5 cm stone "behind" the facing brick, the total thickness difference would be even smaller - keep in mind my mantra "use the wall construction your builder is used to."

One could choose between render and facing bricks and we wanted facing bricks. We also took your mantra to heart! They build it like this and I’m not going to come up with a special wall construction wish now. Mine was more out of curiosity, because I had not seen the 36.5 cm build-up thickness with any of the general contractors asked.

We will be heating with the district heating system. Do you actually have a finished floor plan by now?

With aerated concrete, it actually gets trickier with the awning. So better to hang it from the concrete ceiling.

Are you somewhat more familiar with the topic of awnings?
Those are not good news for me. We also don’t know which awning yet. We will decide that after moving in.

The 36.5cm was probably once an offset in the edge of the concrete ceiling. But for me, it hardly makes any sense with a landing staircase. Possibly a leftover from an old plan?

And yes, that’s probably it. hit the mark. The architect wanted to design a handrail for us. We didn’t want it that way, plus the stair tread and the door to the storage room were supposed to be at the same level. So he changed it and apparently didn’t adjust everything.
Doesn’t such a program handle these things automatically? You have to check every little thing. Annoying.

No, you’re not listening well. You don’t want to understand that you can’t just prepare a cable or the route for it and then, once the storm has passed, calmly look at awnings. Because then the awning seller will tell you: it would have to be anchored at the level of the floor slab, and we would have needed an insulation carrier (Isokorb) for that. Miss, now you’re too late - now we need a monstrous frame because of that.
