I would swap it so your husband doesn’t hit the door into your back when you brush your teeth in front of the sink. When brushing teeth, blow-drying, etc., you do stand a bit behind the sink. When you’re sitting on the toilet, the risk of unconsciousness from the door hitting you is rather low, since you don’t sit long peeing and you lock the door when doing number two. I would leave the door as it is. I would make a sliding door though. Then you wouldn’t have any problems at all!

Glass on tiles always requires a silicone joint. For a guest WC with a sink, just under 3 sqm is enough.

You want the masonry shower wall for space reasons? I don’t understand that...

OR:

you separate the toilet from the rest of the bathroom and equip only the toilet with a door. I find an open bathroom in the bedroom very charming and it looks modern. But it also has disadvantages.

I often stay in hotels where this "open" bathroom is beautifully combined with the bedroom. Here is an example:

PS: You ALWAYS have a silicone joint. Regardless of whether the wall is built or made of glass!

Thank you for your input regarding the sanitary arrangement. The open shower is too modern for me.

I meant the partition wall built of masonry for plastering reasons, not space reasons.

Would you also choose a smaller door in the [Elternbad]?

I would rather install a sliding door. If you don’t want that, then in my opinion a smaller door is also sufficient. Since your hallway is relatively dark, I would install sockets with underfloor lighting. That way, you don’t have to turn on the main light half-asleep every time you need to go to the toilet at night. I would also install them in the master bathroom.

Of course, you could also have the door in the [Elternbad] open outwards.

Where did you get those from (and also the stylish door handles and fittings)?
