But this side of the house is the entrance side. That is the most important side regarding symmetry. Not for you?

Neither does the NE side have symmetry (only the SW side would have it here, and even then only if you disregard the garage and the terrain) nor would that be the most important symmetry side; thirdly, symmetry is rather "disturbed" if it is applied inconsistently in that sense, only on one side of the house. And just in case I have improbably said it too little once: symmetry would not be a value in itself either; it was even deliberately violated at certain points by architects of all epochs.

Currently planning bathrooms and have ideas. One of them: washer and dryer stacked in the children's bathroom? What do you think about that? Stupid idea because of noise?

Washing machine and dryer in the children's bathroom: good idea for pedagogical reasons, because laundry is not just mom's stuff.

We want to raise the ground level for the house. Unfortunately, the garage will then be 1 meter lower than the house. Do you think that is very bad? The architect and the house seller would not raise the ground but work with the level. The house seller thinks the one meter difference is a lot. The neighbor to our right will raise the ground because he plans a basement with access from there to the garden. We do not know the neighbor to our left. Who knows when he will build. Later he will raise the ground, and if we have not done it, we will be annoyed because we are sitting in a hole.

Next to the kitchen, I would also like a terrace, but if I understand correctly, that is only possible with the neighbors’ permission?

Someone mentioned a parking space in this thread. Is it allowed to raise the ground for a parking space so that it is at house level?

By the way, we are swapping the kitchen and the living room and have decided against a pantry and for an office.
Then we have a nice TV corner without windows and the sofa position is great.
From the kitchen, you can access the terrace.
I am currently waiting for a new drawing from the architect. But I am happier than before with the decisions.

Do you think a room width of 4.18m in the dining room is okay?
Is the TV corner width of 3.32m enough to place the sofa?
And is an office with a width of 2.42m by about 4m not too narrow?
