Oh, 4m is standard between TV and sofa. How long your sofa is or whether you absolutely need a dark cozy corner is very individual. Office: With a room length of 4m, I do not like to go below 2.75m in width. However, a skillful interior designer has no problem with less.

How big is your sofa? Actually not longer than 3m, right? Or do you have a 3-seater/2-seater combo or even an armchair? I don't think the office will seem narrow. Even if it does, it is only an office. I guess the 10cm won't make much difference. I think it’s more important where the windows in the office will be so that you can still arrange cupboards and a workspace well.

Current sofa 3.30m. We want to buy a new one though, and I also like one that is 2.91m. I can imagine placing an armchair next to it, which may well extend somewhat into the dining room. I already have a draft from the architect, but some changes will still be made. It is about the room/cm distribution of the following 3 rooms. The dining room currently measures 4.28m, the living room 3.12m, and the office 2.51m. How would you do it? The length of all these rooms will change from 3.92m to 4.07m.

And it will be an office/guest room. Where the bed is drawn, there will be a 2m long and 85cm deep sofa bed. Next to it, a desk 1.5m long next to the window. Behind the desk, a cabinet 40cm deeper and 1.2m long.

Yay, I actually suggested the kitchen-living room swap right at the very beginning.
Plan the terrace door on the right side of the plan so that the upper wing opens first. Then it won't be a problem if the sofa still sticks out a bit in front of the window. I don't find the width of the office bad, as long as no one is constantly staying there. As long as you can fit everything you want...

I would rather make a sliding door there anyway, maybe even a bit bigger than 2m. Otherwise, the walkway around the table is constantly blocked.
