So you mean the partition maze between the parents' and children's bathroom? - I had certainly already suggested using plasterboard panels for that. But my main suggestion was to return to a functional initial draft after the price of the drywall pest bumps for your floor plan fiddling was sufficiently high for you to ask for therapy to cure it. With the relaunch, you can immediately take up my suggestion to omit the bathroom separation altogether (even if that would be almost a pity considering the partition layout proposals).

No, it’s not about the partition walls, but all the walls. Also the utility room and guest WC. They are currently being built with limestone sand. Is that necessary because of soundproofing?

Here are the current floor plans. The kitchen and living room have not been swapped back yet. BD/DDs are slightly shifted/improved. The recess in the dressing room on the upper floor is now gone. Instead, there is a recess more centered in the guest room. Do you find that bad? I haven’t seen anything like that before or maybe I just haven’t noticed. Would you accept it as it is or, for example, hide it by moving the door downward in the plan and having it open against it (i.e. towards the window)?

Sorry, 1.8m long. 90cm wide. I think that's also a standard width. I almost imagine 1.2m to be too wide for an island.

Do you only cook or wash there or do you do both? 1.2m is done because you can then open drawers from both sides.

Do you all find the two bathrooms on the upper floor so terrible?

Well, in the dining room I don’t want to pull out drawers. There we have doors or an open shelf. It looks very nice. And it doesn’t have to be so deep there; 30cm depth is enough for glasses, etc. You can easily reach everything.
On the island, we don’t have any function at all; we wash and cook on the other side (external wall). Of course, we could have put the cooktop on the island, but we didn’t want a hood hanging in the room, and besides, I think it’s annoying to wash ingredients and then carry them to the other side. This way, we have everything on one side (with counter space between the sink and cooktop) and it’s a nice workflow. On the island, we only have a blender. Otherwise, we rarely use that surface.
