That’s true. But if you try to open the oven door and it doesn’t work due to lack of space, or the bed in front of you is visibly only about 160 cm wide, mistakes become apparent. If you like something, you have to try it out, mentally arrange your stuff, or imagine living there.

I would answer that with NO. 20cm more does not add any extra space. I had already sketched a solution where the wardrobe moves into the hallway.

A model park visit is planned for the weekend to gather ideas. It's definitely good to do that.

Isn't it possible to have 1m of wardrobe, then a small WC and then a small pantry?
Currently, the WC consumes 5.18 sqm and the wardrobe 2.77 sqm. Sounds like a lot.

Do you have any idea for a stairwell window? I always see narrow elongated glass elements on Instagram when searching hashtags. Looks stylish. But how on earth do you clean those???
We currently have double-leaf windows planned, but I don't know if that looks good.

Thanks for the tip about ceiling height!
By the way, basil windows have a fixed element at the bottom and two sashes above that can be opened. You can place them above the sink and still open them.

A window fits on the landing of your stairs. In the kitchen, for example, we have a three-part window, with the middle element fixed, so it fits with the faucet and we don’t need a “crossbar” that would disturb the window area.

Best regards

How wide would you make the window at the staircase? We are considering 176/126. Or would you make it even bigger? You want enough light upstairs since there are only closed rooms there, but you also don’t want to feel observed by the neighbors.

176cm is already quite wide, 126cm height, however, is not, take a look at all this in the show homes and measure it yourself.

Best regards
Sabine
