What was partly written here on the last pages I don’t find okay. Therefore, I thank the posts from our members who defend me.
The mental image from does not apply to me at all.
A few weeks before I took care of the house construction, I made wrong decisions. Actually "right" decisions, but poorly implemented. This concerns the life of another person and is irreversible. However, I really don’t want to write more about it because it’s too personal. In any case, I then swore to myself that I will try to make the right decisions as much as possible in all major decisions of my life. This includes building a house.
The parapet height has actually been the same since design no. 1. At 87.5. I have no friends with new builds. And I only knew after kitchen planning that there are great options from kitchen manufacturers to design the utility room. With a washing machine on a pedestal, for example. I had always neglected the utility room before, but since we don’t have a basement and garage, I want to make the most of storage space. And then it just happened that I planned with the kitchen consultant and he said that’s a really stupid parapet height for a 91 cm high worktop. Enough about that.
Current status: the raising of the parapet height would have been done for us, but we distributed the technical appliances in the room differently and I got a different corner of the room to plan.
Before I make myself unnecessarily unpopular with the general contractor, I asked here for experiences.
And I do think I have benefited a lot from this thread. Because a few details make the difference or sometimes a few centimeters. For example, ones you can pay attention to so you can get your cabinet systems well planned and don’t regret it afterwards. I succeeded with that in the bedroom, kitchen, and wardrobe. If I hadn’t registered here, honestly, I wouldn’t have paid attention to it. This is just a small example and should not justify the long thread. This thread got so long because I got lost and was too meticulous. But I didn’t know where to put my thoughts. But on these almost 200 pages, I have gotten SO many great tips on all kinds of topics, not just the floor plan. There was also talk about the garden here, cabinet systems, tips for electrical planning, and so on.
Anyway, I have to add here that nowhere does it violate a forum rule to maintain your own thread for a long time.
And where does it say that you can no longer open a thread about your own spot planning if you go overboard in the floor plan thread?
Other users also ask for help with their spots? Of course, I have also followed other similar threads.
I understand that you can get professional advice there. But I don’t see why. I don’t find spots extremely great. That’s why I only wanted some in the hallway and also made a suggestion myself about how it could look. I just wanted some feedback and input. Isn’t that what the forum is for? Why have I forfeited my right to such threads?
And my taste is not up for discussion here at all. I think the kitchen turned out well. A good mix of design and functionality. But this is not about the kitchen?
Why am I not allowed to have mainstream taste? I’m not doing it for others. I just find a clean look simply chic. I love my black kitchen with a Dekton ceramic slab in marble pattern and kitchen island with under-cabinet lighting and Berbel Downline. What’s the problem with following trends if you like them??? I’m not doing it because it’s done that way today. But because I think it’s cool. Honestly: I didn’t even know kitchens could look this sexy nowadays.
Anyway. Thanks to everyone who gave me further input here on the last pages.
