Thank you! Exactly like that. I think having doors like that makes sense. How big is the children's bathroom approximately then?

In this case 6.6m² - but you can work that out down to the centimeter with your architect.

Yes, we will discuss that. Somehow it bothers me that the right children's room is no longer rectangular. Is that understandable? I am such a perfectionist. What if the floor plan is adjusted to 10.5m x 11m? Would it then be possible to keep the rooms rectangular? Maybe then the 4.5m width in the living room can also be maintained.

It's rectangular, right?! You mean square? You have to detach yourself from the lines on the paper and mentally enter the rooms. A square room might seem nice, but it's more difficult to furnish than the rectangular room. The rooms are, as shown, basically the same size, each over 18m²(!). Both have nice room depths, are not narrow and long, and have light coming from two sides. I find that luxurious for children and I'm already looking forward to the two of them. There's really no need to "massacre" the other rooms because of that.

If you want to try it out yourself now with the centimeters, then just buy a program. I think there are even free ones - but don’t ask me which.

Yes, Katja is right. A square room is not easier to furnish than a rectangular one, because a lot of unusable space remains in the middle. Everything fits with you. It’s not narrow. We have narrow rooms with 3 kids’ rooms in less space. 3x5sqm rooms (but with lofts above of 7sqm) – and that is really a bit annoying, but it couldn’t be helped because we all wanted to face south, including the parents’ bedroom with access to the balcony for everyone. I would probably do it differently today. Our house is over 14 meters wide and only 8 meters long.

So I wouldn’t work on the dimensions anymore. I really like Katja’s suggestion. For me, almost everything fits there.
