Okay, maybe just a confusion of terms:

Base = area below the cabinet body

This is usually covered by a base panel so that the feet of the cabinets are not visible. Of course, the base panel is then recessed so that the vacuum cleaner practically gets a cave/garage. On the right and left, the base panel naturally remains.

Yes, exactly! That's how we plan it in the utility room as well. I also have kitchen furniture there. Where is the power outlet located in your place? Is it easy to reach to unplug the charging station?

In our case, the robot vacuums under the kitchen island, so the outlet is located in the floor there. To access it, there is the mentioned flap in the cabinet, but in an emergency, you can also reach the outlet - with the baseboard removed and lying on the floor.

I can't imagine the thing with the flap. Where is it?

This is in the floor of the cabinet above. So you can also access the vacuum from above when it is in the station. Additionally, this way you can of course install everything a bit more comfortably than by fiddling with a long arm under the cabinet.

The utility room is not exactly quiet. That’s due to the heating noises. At least with a gas heating system. How it will be with you, I don’t know. Maybe a Roomba is not suitable for every household, so to speak. How do you deal with the cobwebs that form in the corners a bit higher than near the floor? I regularly have to vacuum the corners and walls (also ceiling corners), so I forgo a cute Roomba. The constant moving/putting up would also annoy me. A Roomba is an option for vacuuming when you’re not at home, right?
