Yes, you’re right, the other rooms suffer. However, I wouldn’t want to miss our additional room on the ground floor where you can do paperwork, store personal things that you can quickly access. We even have an extra guest room upstairs and another “hobby room” upstairs; you get used to both quickly. But especially on the ground floor, I think it’s nice to have another “retreat/workroom” on the same level. We also store some things in the attic, but not everything because of heat/cold (unless you insulate, which I don’t believe you do). And for things used frequently (like the vacuum cleaner), it’s too much hassle to go up there, trust me. There are also many very nice floor plans in the 150 m² range with 5 rooms, where the living area is still reasonably large. But yes, a large living room is very nice too if you don’t need an additional room.

Wow, always wonder how people manage with so few folders. I have so many and don’t know where else I can save. House purchase, work, credit, banks, insurance, taxes... I once considered scanning everything, but if in doubt, I’d rather sift through folders than through documents.

I also see the problem here that although nice large rooms are created, there is ultimately a lack of storage space and usable area. In the end, you can dance in the living room, but there is no place for a desk for the parents. The utility room is also very tight for all the equipment and laundry.

Unfortunately, you can't have everything. I have at least decided on a pantry now. The wardrobe will probably have to go in the hallway. Can it look good without a niche?

It depends... what does the ground floor layout look like now? Or in which post can we find the current version?

That's how I would do the ground floor.
However, the corridor would be 1.9m wide and not 2.2m.
