Is the garage on the boundary? If so, and you are considering filling, you could potentially end up with a garage that is too high, since its height is usually measured from the original ground level. Please also consider that.
Yes, it is on the boundary in the current plan. What do you mean by a garage that is too high? I don’t follow that.
If you are already sensible enough not to fix the house to the garage, I also recommend doing that mentally. You don't necessarily have to build retaining walls on slopes.
What do you mean by that? We will probably realign the house if the measurements are going to change. We also want a larger masonry garage.
I don't understand why the garage becomes too high when you build up for both the garage and the house? Then it is on the same level as the house, right?
And if you only build up for the house, the garage is too low, isn't it?
But why is the garage too high? I'm confused.
Because a boundary-adjacent garage struggles with the limitation of the average wall height at the boundary. This is usually 3 m – annoyingly based on the original terrain – which almost "kills" any embankment – both for garages and carports. Hence my suggestion of the uncovered parking space (which does not have this problem) and only building the shed behind it (which is not as picky regarding its height location).
