That sounds tall. How tall are the floor-to-ceiling windows in the others here?

Aaaaahhh please stop obsessing over the cm count!!! Whether the door opening is 150 or 151cm doesn't matter. Or rather, if it's so important to you, just google standard door dimensions (DIN 18100) or discuss it with your main contractor. It's the same with the windows. They are measured, and that's how you'll get them. The construction workers don't work with centimeter precision anyway and often let 5 slip too.

Yes, you are right. But with windows, I already determine the sizes now. For example 1.01/1.26 or floor-to-ceiling 1.01/2.13. This is already stated in the building application. I am interested in whether 2.13 is a common size. Here in the apartment, I have 2.20 and the ceilings are not particularly high.

Could it be that in your entire life you have never seen a shell construction, and even less the profile of a brick interlocked in the joint? – we are talking about BRM six brick, the nominal shell construction opening dimension is 151, and I will not repeat it again: there are n-o t a single centimeter in shell construction, for God's sake!

yes, why don’t you just make them as high as possible? In the shell construction, the floor structure still gets added to the floor-to-ceiling window, so you can’t tell exactly in centimeters how high your window will be beforehand. How high are your ceilings? Then you can say how much space is left for the window. Your windows will be custom-made for you anyway, they aren’t just ready-made somewhere. For us, two windows that were supposed to be the same size according to the building plan differed by 5mm in measurement and were also manufactured that way.

Best regards
Sabine

the case is not always like it is with you (but mostly). Especially with all-glass systems (frameless), production is often done in advance. Here, the shell construction must fit within +/- 0.5 cm. Floor and ceiling height can also be precisely planned... Certainly, this is not standard with GUs. We will also have floor-to-ceiling glazing. Glass height 2890 mm. The floor is as high as the bottom rail, the ceiling as low as the top rail. Thus, only glass is visible. Also, the different coverings inside/outside are at the same height. It just has to be planned. It simply doesn’t work if important decisions are made only during the construction phase.
